Eastside Speedway Waynesboro, Va.
Bullet
Bill Rice
Unloads on the Field

Third time was a charm for the Virginia Sprint
Series as after two rain outs the racers were able to take to the
track and what a race it was as Bullet Bill Rice drove his WA Lynch
Roofing Specialty Fasteners Sprinter to the event sweep. Fifteen racers
made the tow to Eastside with heats up first and Rice blasted to the
win in heat one with Satch Worley holding off Anthony Linkenhoker
at the line for heat two before it was off to the feature. Paul White
and Scott Vasbinder paced the feature with Vasbinder out first and
Worley second with Tony Harris, Bill Rice and Jerald Harris in a group.
Lap three saw changes as Vasbinder slowed with car trouble just as
Tony Harris passed Worley to take what was now the lead. Rice realy
came on strong in the second half as he shot by Worley then set his
sights on Harris and with eight laps to go Rice went low by Harris
and headed for the checkers and would not be caught in the caution
free event.
At the flag it was Bill Rice, Tony Harris, Satch
Worley, Jerald Harris, Anthony Linkenhoker, French Grimes, Billy Norfleet,
Pete Kingrea, Danny Miller, Ron Moyers, Paul White, Carl Simmonds,
Chris Ware, Scott Vasbinder and Mike Marr.
Next week Saturday night May 10th the Virginia
Sprint Series will travel to County Line Raceway in Elm City, NC.
